Biography

Hello,

My name László Major.

I am Hungarian professional dancer, performer and personal trainer, as well as I am an experienced dance teacher with 10+ years experience teaching ballet, contemporary dance, pointe work, choreography from young age to adults.

I was born in 1989 in a small city close to the border of Austria called Jánossomorja.

I started my dance education at the age of 14 at City of Györ Dance and Art General School in 2003.

While in school I attended many classical ballet, contemporary dance and acrobatic show dance competitions.

In 2006 I became a European Champion and a World Champion in show dance category.
Hard work paid off.

After my graduation in 2007 I got multiple job offers from internationally recognized dance companies in Austria and Switzerland but I decided to stay in my home capital and I joined the Budapest based Central Europe Dance Theatre followed by Compagnie Pál Frenák where I started performing internationally.

Between 2007-2012 I performed with many other companies as a freelance dancer including National Theater Hungary, Ballet Company of Györ, Szeged Contemporary Dance Company, Company Krisztián Gergye.

I also earned my first personal trainer certification.

In 2012 while on tour in the US with Compagnie Pál Frenák on Dance Salad Festival-Houston I was offered a position to start the new season and became a member of Atlantic City Ballet in New Jersey, and a year after I joined North Carolina Dance Theater.

In 2014 I moved to New York City to find the american dream and

I did in the representation of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo where I mastered my pointe dance skills and spent an amazing 3years as a soloist dancer traveling all around the world including Asia, Europe, US dancing in big classics such as Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Don Quijote, Paquita, Les Sylphides. In the meantime I received my second personal trainer certification from NASM-National Academy of Sports Medicine and started to train my colleagues on tour.

After all my travels I decided to leave the company and look for new adventures. Using my classical ballet, gymnastic and pointe background I started to perform in the nightlife scene of New York City at venues such as House of Yes, The Mckittrick Hotel Bartschland Follies , Paradise Club as a freelancer and joined the Brooklyn based burlesque company, Company XIV. I have been with the company in the past 2 years and I love working in this setup where I can combine all the styles and specialties that I have learned over the years.

My most recent work was joining Dita Von Teese on her Australian Glamonatrix Tour in november 2019 followed by performing with her in Miami at Faena Hotel and the Bahamas at the Friendship Crouse.

I was going to go on a mayor european tour this year however because of the Pandemic COVID-19 my plans got moved which allows me to have more availability  to focus on fitness and dance teaching.

I am now offering dance classes and personal and/or gruop training sessions.
